Pre-finished Hardwood and Engeneered flooring comes already sanded and sealed. It resists moisture and won't shrink or swell much. It's installed much like an unfinished floor, but takes some extra care to avoid scratching the surface. Pre-finished flooring is a bit more expensive than unfinished flooring and only comes in a limited number of colors. The surface isn't sanded right after installation so it may not be as smooth as an unfinished floor installation. All available in 3/4" thick and depends on specie most of them available 1 ¾, 2 ¼ to 6 ¼ width Lengths are random and depends on the grading of flooring.

Engineered hardwood floors can be installed above or below ground and in high moisture settings such as kitchens, basement. Engineered strips and planks can be installed over radiant heating. They are not recommended for installation in full bathrooms.
Layers of solid hardwood are laminated with the grain running at right angles on alternate angles. This cross-grained construction provides superior dimensional stability. The top layer of 3/8" three-ply floors is 1/6" thick, for a wear surface that can be professionally sanded and refinished. 1/2" Engineered Strip & Plank
