Borders All borders come in solid 5/16 inch hardwood. 3/8 inch plywood has to be installed to the sub floor so that the final thickness is 3/4 inch. Some borders are stocked in the species shown in color pages of the catalog, or we can craft them in your choice of woods. Inventoried woods include: walnut, white oak, red oak, hard maple, ash, American cherry, wengb, Brazilian cherry, mahogany, Santos mahogany, teak and purple heart. Medallions Medallions are effectively used as focal points in hardwood, tile, marble or other types of floors. Available in many different shapes or sizes, they are very effective in an entry way, center of a room, or stair landing. Medallions, figured transitions, feature strips, field parquetry, and decorative borders can be combined to achieve stunning results.
