Semywood flooring encourages scheduled maintenance: buffing and recoating the floor every 3 to 5 years. Commercial and/or high traffic floors may need maintenance every 1 to 2 years. Remember... Hardwood floors are still Floors. Do not be concerned about every little scratch and dent. Hardwood floors, like fine leather, become more beautiful with age.

Never use a dripping wet mop on a wood floor. Don't use wax, soaps, or other household cleaners. For daily cleaning, fill a 32 oz. spray bottle with 2 oz. of household vinegar and 30 oz. of tap water. Spray liberally, then use a soft cotton cloth to wipe or use a cleaner designed specifically for hardwood floors.

Preventative Maintenance

Make sure furniture has padded felt protectors on the bottom. Use area rugs in pivot places.

Sweep or vacuum regularly. Clean shoes and entry mats well. Rearrange your furniture and rugs periodically, so the floor will age evenly...

Keep animals nails trimmed.

Remove spills promptly.

Use a dolly when moving furniture.

Avoid wearing high heels on your floor.
